He says: Let’s take a vote

He says to play:

Micheal Jackson’s “Beat It” and mewithoutYou’s “In a Sweater Poorly Knit” at our reception (most likely at the end). Vote.

We won’t get offended or judge. ;)

She says:

According to Nathan, only 66 more days till the I DO’s! “Heavens to Betsy, We’re goin’ to the chapel!” hehe.  A little update on the wedding planning. We have everything booked but the caterer. They are just waiting for us to choose which dish we want and they both sound so good we I just can’t decided. Haha. But we will. It’s going to be a surprise! Another post will be coming soon about our invitations. So y’all come back now! I’ll post the link on facebook when it’s up. Stay warm…Much Love.

She says: Engagement Party!

Our engagement party that my generous sister and brother-in-law hosted for us last October in Tulsa and it was absolutely wonderful! Nathan and I had smiles plastered across our faces the entire night and we and our friends had a great time.

I loved how my sisties incorporated some of my favourite things, such as sweet tea with a hint of lemon, lace, doilies and of course, Nathan and I’s favorite thing, mexican food! My sisters went all out in making sure everything was fresh and well served.

My sister Liz and Greg drove in from North Carolina and my sister, Nomi, flew in from Texas. I love them! A big hug and a thousand thank you’s!!

A special thanks to:

Carmen and Jon for letting us borrow their lovely home ;)

My dad, for his best wishes and support.

She says: Ask them with “style”.

I started photographing weddings 3 years ago so I would visit wedding blogs for photo inspiration quite often. During those visits I got ideas for my own wedding and the ideas for the whole process too…not just for “the big day”.

These cards were one of the ideas that I saw and loved! I wanted our wedding party to feel special. We were asking them because each and everyone one of them are special to us in a way. And we wanted them to know it :) So I designed these cards similar to the one I was inspired by.

The night Nathan and I were going to ask them, I made a hazelnut cream cake, chocolate chip cookies and sipping tea. The maid of honor and best-man had no idea what was going on. All they knew what to be at my apartment at 7:30 p.m. (I even made the best-man – who came early – wait outside for 15 minutes so that everything could be just right, hehe. )

Similar cards were mailed out to the bridesmaids as well. I’m so happy that they were all excited.

I’m glad y’all are standing by our side for our special day. :)
